Joun is a village in the south of Lebanon where seven hills dotted with ancient olive tree orchards all come together. This inspired co-founders Fram and Jeanine to form Joun Technologies, a multifaceted consulting company that leverages our Fortune 100 executive experience and global network.
Fram Akiki - President
As an executive with Siemens, Qualcomm and IBM, Fram has successfully led business units in excess of $ 800 million in revenue and operations groups with over $ 1.5 billion in spend. His 35 year career has spanned assignments in engineering, product management, sales, marketing and operations. He has been recognized with numerous awards, including the Qualcomm COO Achievement Award and the IBM Division Award for Management Excellence.
Fram holds a B.S. (Highest Honors) in electrical and computer engineering from Clarkson University and a M.S. in electrical engineering and a M.B.A. in International Business from The University of Vermont. He has authored a number of white papers, holds a patent on RFID/Cellular connectivity for the IoT market and is an adjunct instructor at Clarkson University and California State University - San Marcos.
Originally from Tupper Lake, NY, Fram loves to hike the Adirondack High Peaks, plays hockey twice a week and is an avid ham radio operator.
Jeanine Farah Akiki - Vice President
As an executive with IBM and Globalfoundries, Jeanine successfully led teams with operational budgets in excess of $ 200 million. Her 30 year career has spanned assignments in engineering, product and project management and operations. She has been recognized with numerous awards, including the IBM Division Award for Management Excellence.
Jeanine holds a B.S. (Summa Cum Laude) in electrical engineering from Western New England University and a M.S. in electrical engineering from The University of Vermont. She holds a patent on BiCMOS test circuitry and is a former adjunct instructor at The University of Vermont and Champlain College.
Originally from Beirut, Lebanon, Jeanine is fluent in English, French and Arabic. She is on the board of directors of LebNet and leads their student internship program. She enjoys hiking and good food.
